NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Pelicans and Eastern Metal have signed a one-year deal, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The agreement was first reported by Yahoo Sports and confirmed by a league source.
The deal is for $1 million per season.
The Pelicans are expected to re-sign veteran forward and longtime source of the East’s Metal, Anthony Davis.
Davis has had to move on from his days as a primary ball-handler on the Pelicans, but the 23-year-old could make a run at being a big contributor.
He’s also coming off of a breakout season in which he averaged 10.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game and had an assist in 12.8 minutes per game.
